Day 2 – Team discussion and Python lessons
What I Learned
I met my faculty mentor, Dr. Oludare Owolabi, and my graduate mentor, Pelumi Abiodun. Mr. Pelumi went over our project details with us and assigned some tasks to complete the Deep Learning and Computer Vision courses on Kaggle. Regarding the Python placement test I took yesterday, I was placed in the Advanced Python course, where the host reviewed some elementary Python concepts like dictionaries and sets—nothing new to learn here. We then closed the meeting by playing a game of Hedbanz, where a chosen player had to guess the item we selected by asking questions that we all answered with just “yes” or “no.”

Reflection
The day went well today. I was introduced to a new game, Hedbanz, which I had never played but had seen some videos of online. The thing I am most excited about is the fact that we’ll be writing a research paper based on this project, which will be published in a respected journal. This means I’ll have 2 papers in total under my name now :)
